Moments before his defeat, the demon lord possesses the body of his attacker. However, in his haste, he botches the transition and finds himself trapped in the powerless body of a human. Now with no memory of his past and only the help of his companion, Aira, he must take refuge at the inn of a nearby adventurer's town. It doesn't take long for the two to find themselves penniless, leaving them no choice but to form a party with the dark elf, Chocolat, train with Liz, the daughter of the town's lord, and aid the town's priestess, Emma.
