Janive High is a regular all-girls school. The only thing that sets it apart is that it is the first school in the country to try out the bridge year initiative. Claudia Florence, great-granddaughter of the school's founder, is taking this opportunity to be part of the first wave of students to move to an elective seventh year. Now that she finds herself alone and friendless in a classroom full of girls who have known each other for years, her new life at her ancestral school begins.
However, two other girls, Gabriella and Michelle, don't let Claudia be without friends for long. Together they try to find a school club to strengthen their friendship. But wouldn't it be better to start their own club? And so Claudia becomes not only the new girl, but also the president of a new book club. However, this new book club has something to hide. The club's menu is all romance books for girls! Renamed the Lawyer's Club, this club may be just what Claudia needs to get to the bottom of Gabriella and Michelle's past. And if they can secretly help the other girls at school declare their love for each other, that's even better! That's exactly what the Lawyer's Club is for. Will Claudia be able to find her place at Janive High? Will the school be able to help her understand the mysterious ability to sense moods that she has struggled with since childhood? And most importantly... Can love conquer all? Or will Janiv School's rule against relationships be the end of the Law Club?
