In the future, nations and civilizations have disappeared due to rising sea levels caused by tectonic movements and global warming. The survivors lacked the technology and talent, but they were able to restore the ancient warship and attach a spare hydrogen engine to it. Then much time passed, and the whole land was flooded by the sea, and people barely survived on board the homing self-repair ship.

Ao is a boy who lived in the town on board the ship. He helps parents to plow fields and repair fishing gear. There is no entertainment, except visiting the floating market once a month and gazing at the ancient wrecks of ships passing by and reflecting on how they were once used. It was a relatively depressing life, close to life in a closed society.

Once he entered the motor zone of the ship, to which the adults told him absolutely not to go. Since ancient times there has been a picture showing girls in colorful clothes dancing in the school in front of a large crowd of happy children. It was a "culture" that had long been lost.
